Comparing scenarios without changing your saved plan
Try a change and compare it to your plan. Nothing is saved until you choose to apply it.
Applying a scenario asks for confirmation before replacing saved figures.
FlyQ’s example mode can show any of the fictional people from the home page’s pictures, as well as Sam, the main example. Choose one from “Choose an example”, or arrive from a picture’s demonstration to open that stage’s person. “Try it” sets up the change from their demonstration as a pending change, so you can SET it or Reset it.
In example mode, Retirement age can be changed by dragging the dial, with the arrow keys, or by typing an exact age; each one sets the same pending change and the Forecast updates when you SET it. Sam’s example has its own maximum retirement age of 67; if you try to go past it, FlyQ says “Stopped at this example’s maximum of 67”. The life-stage examples have no retirement-age maximum of their own, so you can choose a later age within the Forecast’s range and the outcomes recalculate. For a household that has already retired, Retirement age can’t be changed: the dial explains why, and the Forecast starts from their retired income.
Examples are kept separately from your own plan and saved scenarios. Changing or switching an example never alters your plan, your baseline or a scenario you’ve saved.
