FLYNQD

Help

Quick answers about entering figures and finding your way around FLYNQD.

Walkthroughs

Guided examples with a fictional household, explaining what happens, why it matters and what to notice. Anyone can watch, whichever plan the feature belongs to, and nothing in your own plan is changed.

  • Rent or Buy

Watch example figures go in, the three options compared, the results explained and one assumption changed.

  • Scenarios

Watch an example plan copied into a separate scenario, one thing changed, both lines compared, and the scenario kept or discarded.

  • Priorities

Watch the four priorities ranked and saved, what the order does and doesn't change, and an amount to leave checked in a retirement comparison.

Entering figures

  • I don't know an exact balance

Enter your best estimate as a total. You can replace it with individual accounts later, and FLYNQD will ask before replacing the total.

  • Where do mortgages go?

Add the mortgage from the property it's secured on, or under Debt. Either way it's the same record, so it's never counted twice.

    Go to Property
  • Someone owes me money

Use Loans for money owed to you, such as a loan to a family member or a business. Debt is only for money you owe.

  • How do I type a date?

Type the numbers and the slashes are added for you, for example 25/12/2030. Month fields use MM/YYYY.

Using the app

  • Will I lose unsaved changes?

If you leave a form with unsaved changes, FLYNQD asks whether to keep editing or discard them first.

  • Why did my forecast change?

The forecast recalculates whenever you save a figure. Open a year on the chart to see what's included.
