FLYNQD doesn't have accounts or an online database of plans yet. What you enter is stored and calculated only in this browser. Free accounts for saving your plan online are coming soon; this page will be updated before they launch.
Where your information is kept
Your plan: this device and browser
Your details, household, accounts, goals, gifts, Emergency Fund and other figures are saved in this browser on this device. They remain when you close and reopen FLYNQD. Other FLYNQD tabs in the same browser profile share this saved plan; other browsers and devices do not.
History and preferences: this browser
Saved plan history, saves waiting to be recorded, saved exploration scenarios, display preferences and changes to the sample households are kept in this browser's local storage on this device, shared by its FLYNQD tabs.
When you close the tab
Your saved plan, history, saved scenarios and preferences remain on this device. Use Delete all my data to remove them. Clearing this site's browser data also removes them, and private browsing may discard them when it ends. Example plans remain separate from your own plan.
Who can see it
FLYNQD's server never receives your plan figures, so neither the founder nor anyone at FLYNQD can see them. Anyone who can use this browser profile on this device can, as can browser extensions you've allowed to read pages.
What leaves your browser
Location and care-cost lookups
When you search for a place or postcode, or look up local care or house-price figures, that search text or area is sent through FLYNQD's server to public data services (postcodes.io, Public Health Scotland and the UK House Price Index). Your financial figures are not included.
Savings rates
Comparing savings fetches public rates. Nothing about you is sent.
Usage statistics and logs
On the live site, Vercel Web Analytics counts page visits, and records which savings offer and provider you click through to. It uses no cookies and no figures. The hosting provider may briefly keep request logs, which can include the lookup searches above.
Delete all my data
Removes everything FLYNQD has saved in this browser and returns you to the start. Other open FLYNQD tabs are told to clear their copy and stop saving; if the browser prevents that, you'll be told.
