Withdrawal order
The order you draw on accounts affects tax and how long money lasts.
FLYNQD keeps one withdrawal order, used by Forecast, Retirement and Your priorities.
Until you set your own order, FLYNQD draws on defined contribution pensions first, then investments, then savings. A pension you can’t access yet is skipped, and the next account pays instead. This is a starting point, not a recommendation: you can change the order in Your priorities, and FLYNQD uses the order you save.
When the first account in your order runs out, the shortfall is taken from the next one. Pension withdrawals are taxed as income, below any savings interest and dividends you enter, so a larger withdrawal can move that income into a higher band.
The right order depends on your tax position and goals.
